MicrosoftThe new Comments format is entirely unnecessary and, as far as I'm concerned, very annoying. The comments are enormous, taking up about half the screen and forcing the text of the document into a much smaller space as a result. I used to like, when editing (one of my professions), to work most of the time in the Simple Markup view, seeing only my comments. This is no longer possible because of the ridiculous size and prominence of the comments, so that I have to click back into the No Markup view every time I have finished writing a comment.
It was perfectly possible in the past to respond to a comment when necessary, making the new arrangement superfluous to needs as well as extremely irritating and time-wasting.
Another Microsoft 'improvement', I'm sorry to say, which is anything but.
