Enhance collaboration in Word, Excel and PowerPoint with smart @mention suggestions

Thanks Mohit_Yadav for your interesting post! I realise it's a few months old but a web search about @mentions brought me here.

This feature is great and so is the "Assign to" option that is now available (in Word at least).

However, what happens to the mentions and assigned tasks? At the moment the user gets an email, but when working on multiple large documents and with multiple users, this quickly gets overwhelming in Outlook.

Do the mentions go somewhere else? Can they be accessed by MS Todo or Planner, or in Teams for example? Or is email notification the only way to manage these tasks?

It's such a powerful feature that it feels underused without connection to other MS products.
