Cross functional flowcharts: process improvement through better visualization

There is a fine line between a list of steps with bullets and an over complicated CFF when you can't understand where the sub process starts, who is responsible, etc. Sometimes simplifying things into plain lists of steps is better and is easier to maintain (no need for Visio or knowing how to operate such software).
