Think these changes will make for a much wider use of Lists, great UI and simplified a lot of features.
Will there be the functionality though to use a list as reference data across an organisation without the need for the API and Graphs? I know it can currently be done within a SharePoint site or within a Teams team, but this falls short if you want to use it across multiple Teams or outside of a single SharePoint collection within an organisation.
Edit: If I created a generic user account lets call it "Data", would every list I create or whoever within the same team as me that uses that account makes would be able to interact/link/lookup with each other and be used like reference data irrespective of where it's stored?
