At first I wondering what benefit this feature would be as we can already provide meeting participants with a shareable link to the file and they can open the file up on their screen and the presenter can share a screen. I then realised this is a very messy way of working.
Excel Live gives all meeting participants a nice seamless way to work on an excel file together with minimal clicks to start the session.
We have started to use this already and notice 2 know 'issues'.
- The excel activity is not captured in a call recording as like a screen share but the audio and camera feeds continue to be captured. I don't think this is a big issue to be fair.
- Whilst in a Excel Live session, UK dates are being formatted as US dates - but the dates remain unchanged in the actually Excel file when opened in the desktop app.
