I'm sure I'm not in the right place, but maybe someone can help me? As of yesterday (6/25/25) been having issues with PPT timings. So I'm working on a work presentation/training that was complete and suddenly yesterday the narrations and timings stopped working. Whereas they both worked fine just an hour before. I noticed narrations had been unchecked, but timings were still checked. When I replaced narrations, they worked but timing for animations seem to be gone. I did get a notice that 365 had disabled active x controls, which popped up like a week after I had added the active x to one of the slides. Never got the notice til yesterday. Even after removing the active x slides, still no luck. So, I enabled active x in trust center, yet the timings remaine gone on all slides. I then went to my personal computer (This work presentation has never resided on my personal computer) and found another training presentation I created a month ago that has since been packaged and published. The slides suddenly did not have their timings selected either and they most certainly did a month ago. Otherwise, the packaged presentation would not have had the animations. However, in this scenario, this personal presentation did not use active x controls at all. None whatsoever. Trying to determine if there were ms office 365 updates, particularly that might affect powerpoint timings or updates affecting ppt timings with active x? I know active x is being phased out. Just trying to see if there is an unintended impact to timings. Thanks so very much would greatly appreciate any help or feedback I can get in this quandry, as this training for work is so due. 😩
