Microsoft 365 Copilot is directly integrated into the apps millions use every day, like Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more. It also makes available features like Business Chat, and Copilot agents that unlock new ways to work and be creative. So, if you just got Microsoft 365 Copilot and want to know where to start, here are some helpful tips and resources!

1

Leverage the Copilot Prompt Gallery

Regardless of what app you open Copilot in, we provide pre-built prompts that can quickly help you get started and explore the possibilities.

Below is a screenshot of Copilot in Word, when accessed by selecting the Copilot icon on the right of the top ribbon.

Clicking on any of these prompts will automatically populate your chat window and give you a start on asking Copilot what you need. These prompts will differ based on where you access Copilot from, ensuring that they give the most relevant suggestions to you. So, when you open Copilot in Excel, it’ll provide you with prompts to setup charts or pivot tables or prompts to generate images in Copilot in PowerPoint.

If you’d like to view more prompts, you can access the full Copilot Prompt Gallery by clicking on the “View Prompts” icon. Also found here.
