What’s new in Microsoft 365 Copilot | October 2025

Seth_Patton​ In relation to Agent ownership reassignment

When this was originally released a few months ago it was completely broken (worked once, broke the agent, and the entire reassign ownership functionality disappeared from the tenant). That original release was rolled back by Microsoft fairly quickly.

Now, a few months on and the new release is still broken. When we try to find users in the People picker it doesn't find half of our users in our tenant, so we can't reassign any agents. I'm really wondering if Microsoft perform any sort of testing before releasing/re-releasing these features. Do you know if there is an open issue for this and it's being resolved?

On a side note - in the Copilot Agents dashboard:

• The Created date column is still actually the Last modified date (not the created date)
• Microsoft removed Created by and replaced it with Publisher (or at least that's what we think Publisher is). Can you confirm if these are the same? Note that if you go to the agent itself you can see Created by - just not within the Copilot Agents dashboard.
• There is no way to search or filter on Created by, Publisher, Owner, etc. unless we export the data and perform the filtering in Excel.

Shows October 31, 2025 as the Date created.

After any update to the agent or reassignment it changes the Date created to the current date (Last modified).
