Updates to Microsoft Copilot to bring enterprise data protection to more organizations

When CDP is discontinued:

1. Reading between the lines, it seems that you are saying that, if users go to the web interfaces bing.com/chat or copilot.microsoft.com

• EDP will only be honoured if they are logged in with Entra.
• Entra login will not happen automatically on those pages.

Is that correct?

2. What is the impact to Copilot in Edge sidebar? It is excluded from the advice above. Will EDP be honoured automatically in the Edge Copilot sidebar?

3. If Edge was configured to enforce automatic login to Entra account, using GPO/InTune policy, would that ensure EDP applies in bing.com/chat, copilot.microsoft.com, and Edge Copilot sidebar? Is that a tested scenario? And so would Microsoft recommend that, for customers who need EDP coverage in all Copilot entry points?
