Endpoint Analytics insights is now available in Microsoft 365 Lighthouse

In the world of multi-tenant management for small and medium businesses, knowing what’s going on with customers’ devices and apps is becoming more critical, especially with security threats that are ever increasing. The old world of waiting to hear about problems from end users to checking tenant by tenant has become tedious and ineffective. It can leave customers in precarious situations before surfacing concerns to service IT technicians.

To tackle this head on, we're pleased to announce that Endpoint Analytics is now available in Microsoft 365 Lighthouse. This applies to all your tenants with Microsoft Intune set up and configured with the Microsoft 365 Lighthouse Device health monitoring policy turned on. Microsoft 365 Lighthouse uses the power of Endpoint Analytics via Intune to help you proactively take measures to improve the health of user devices and apps within managed tenants.

Insights from a multi-tenant view

Traditionally, in device and app management solutions, service IT technicians would have to rely on individual tenant data to determine the most pressing need, and it was a challenging task to figure out what was needed.

Today, with Endpoint Analytics Insights, you can see insights in a multi-tenant lens across all your tenants from the Device health and App performance views in Lighthouse, to help you identify current issues throughout your customer tenants so that you can take proactive measures.

Detailed insights by tenant

Leveraging the power of Microsoft 365 Lighthouse's multi-tenant design, it’s easy to drill down into a tenant with the most pressing issues. The drill-down insights provide even more detail on what each device or app in the tenant is at risk for or is experiencing. All these details are summarized at the top of the drill-down page to quickly assess the state of a customer’s tenant.

Before these insights, determining which tenant had the most devices suffering from blue screens required going through each tenant individually and searching through all the devices. With the device health insights page, a service IT technician can quickly see all the blue screens that have happened recently for all their tenants in an aggregated view. This page shows which tenant has the highest number of blue screens and then allows the service IT technician to select the drilled-down tenant page where all the device health information for each device in the tenant is displayed. From this view, a service IT technician can see which devices are experiencing blue screens most frequently, the model of those devices, the manufacturer, the last update time, and other key data points to allow the service IT technicians to figure out the correct action to remedy their tenants that are in a less than desirable state. This is all done in the Endpoint Analytics insights experience and doesn’t require logging into individual tenants to figure out.

Get started

We invite you to start using the insights feature today and start harnessing the power of Endpoint Analytics with a rich set of data that is available in its earliest form today. As more data is harnessed in Microsoft 365 Lighthouse, you will see enhanced insights into the device and app reports for ongoing visibility. To get started, verify that Device health monitoring policy is compliant. If not compliant, deploy the policy found on the tenant’s deployment plan, under Set up device enrollment.
