Upcoming changes to Microsoft Purview eDiscovery
In the past, when using the previous Ediscovery Legacy UI, we had a security group with these roles applied
Review
Export
RMS Decrypt
With this group, the members could open an ediscovery case assigned to them, and then go to Export tab and download the Export.
It was useful because it prevented to them the ability to edit the search or do modifications in the case. They only were able to export the search results. So far so good.
With the new UI, this configuration is not working anymore, and when they go to Export tab, they get an access denied because of lack of permissions
The only way to allow them to export the results again is adding the role to the security group:
Compliance Search
But the problem is this role allows edit the search, or even create additional searches with new criterias inside the case, which is something we don't want in a delegated ediscovery model with remote offices.
