In the previous eDiscovery portal, we had assigned the following roles in addition to Compliance Administrator:
This combination allowed us to perform necessary investigations and access metadata in eDiscovery reports without seeing the actual content of documents. When needed, we could validate data by contacting the content owners. According to the documentation (/purview/ediscovery-assign-permissions), some of these roles don't appear to be available in the new eDiscovery experience. How can security engineers export reports containing only metadata without being granted access to the content of documents in the new Microsoft Purview eDiscovery interface?
Our use case: We need to continue our security investigations with the least privilege principle in mind. Thanks in advance for your help!
