Thank you very much for the excellent well-documented procedure.

But there are a few outstanding questions.

we have known for over a year that this will be happening,

question 1= why have we been only given the solution 29 days before retirement, in large global organizations with 10s of thousands of users, implementing a solution usually takes months of planning.

question 2= moving data into Azure Log Analytics has costs associated with storage, a lot of European countries have data retention laws, and moving 10s of thousands of users’ data for long-term retention of 7 to 10 years has huge costs.

can you clarify that the data moved into Azure Log Analytics is covered under E5 licensing and how do we configure Azure Log Analytics to use the E5 license for the consumption of data?

Question 3= what feature set of Microsoft Purview do I need to implement to replace on-premise scanning of file shares and network shares, no it does AIP is no longer supported, what is the replacement product?
