Many thanks for your patience all as I don't get notifications for mentions on this post - will look into getting that fixed. As you all may already know, the delays in the updates for the Intune Windows security baseline + other baselines were attributed to a one-time internal bug/dependency whose fix relies on a different internal team. The fix was recently deployed for the Edge baseline which is why it was released last May after a 2 year hiatus of no Intune releases. However, this fix is still ongoing for the Windows baseline and we’re planning to release an updated Windows 11 baseline once it’s complete. Therefore, will be back on our regular release schedule soon, so I do not anticipate this being a reoccurring issue where there is a large amount of time between the initial "product" Security Baseline release & the Intune release.
We truly apologize for how long it has taken us to solve for these delays, but I can assure you we are making great progress and you will be seeing more information soon regarding the upcoming releases of the other baselines. The Edge baseline and Office baseline also have new versions that are set to be released in late September/early October.
In general, once the fix is deployed for all current baselines, we try to release baselines as close as possible to align with the updates for the GPO baseline, but this does not always happen at the same time due to engineering constraints. I hope this was helpful, but please let me know if you have any additional questions.
