This issue has been resolved and creating schema groups works as expected in US Central West.

 

I'm looking forward to trying out this feature. I'm getting a rather weird conditional access error when trying to create the schema group. I've been in contact with our AD admins and they can't find anything obvious on their end. Any idea if this is something caused by the preview?
