Hi thinklad Julian Bowker - If you haven't seen it already, have a look here: Update the Company Portal app on your macOS device, for a couple of ways the Company Portal can be updated.
Once validated and Company Portal continues to experience an issue with updating, lets get you over to our support folks for further investigation. Please open a support request from within the Intune admin console, or any of the methods here.
