The 2023-24 school year is right around the corner for the Northern hemisphere and, as students and faculty prepare to return to school, we're excited to share the improvements we've made around Micr...
Nicole_Zhao, with Remote Help it does not work from the Intune Console. The Launch remote help link does not work and ends up displaying a blank browser tab. When can this be fixed? We will not invest in remote help and continue to rely on 3rd party RMM services until this basic functionality is working AND Remote help supports unattended sessions.
ALSO: The admin instructions on deploying remote help direct us to a .exe installer which is not functional for Intune and admins SHOULD NEVER be expected to have wrap a 1st party Microsoft app into a .intunewin file for this to work... Please add this as a deployable app via the Microsoft Store (New) via Intune OR make it a fully inbox app for Windows 10/11 Home, Pro, and Enterprise.
Based on my former experience as an IT Director for the State of Massachusetts and a current consultant for hundreds of Managed Services Providers across the Northern Hemisphere, this process is not ready for EDU or any other Tenant to deploy with intent. Please work with your team to refine this process and democratize if Microsoft wants us to take Remote Help seriously.
- You should probably also (openly) tell EDU admins that Remote Help & Endpoint Privilege Management is an additional license that they will need to purchase. WHICH MEANS that School districts need to have budgeted for this additional license 1-year prior to the start of the school year because requisitions must be submitted to the Business Department/Department of Education (generally) 8-10 months prior to the start of the current school year.
