New Outlook for iOS and Android App Configuration Policy Experience – General App Configuration

I'm a little late to the party, but hoping someone is still monitoring these comments!   I have created an Outlook for iOS app configuration policy in Intune.  The policy assignment includes GroupA and excludes GroupB.  If I'm a member of both groups, the exclusion takes precedence.  However, I'd like to know if my device should show up in the 'Device Install Status' for the policy.  And, if so, what should its status be?  I first added myself to GroupA and waited for the policy to take effect.  Once that was confirmed, I added myself to GroupB and waited for the effects to be negated.  Once that was confirmed, I checked 'Device Install Status'.  My device and user name were there with a status of 'Succeeded'.  I gave it some time and refreshed the screen but no change.

I couldn't find any documentation of whether this is expected.  My guess is "yes" because technically the policy probably is installed on my device but I'm unaffected because of my exclusion status.  Am I wrong?
