As it is almost August, is there any timeline to address a more timely application of Windows updates during or near Autopilot provisioning? I ask because we have worked with several enterprises with 20K plus devices that have adopted Intune and are using Autopilot to provision new Windows 11 devices, driven by Windows 10 EOS. We are getting reports that updates inconsistently apply, sometimes taking hours or days, and that is not good for security, user experience, and other important operational tasks. Perhaps a couple of options to control the timing of when updates apply, enabling those who want to apply during Autopilot provisioning, while another option delays when updates apply to enable those who prefer a different timing. And yes, I am aware of update rings, but it seems there needs to be better control around the Autopilot process.
