Enrolling Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows devices with Microsoft Endpoint Manager

Hello makal007,

The device doesnt need a license. Only the DEM account you use to join it to AAD.

The DEM account need Intune and AADP1 license.

Follow steps below to generate WCD ppkg by using DEM account

• Create an DEM Account : basic user with Intune and AADP1 licenses and add it as DEM account
• Assign Device Adminstrator role to this user (mandatory)
• Add this user in group able to Enroll device (MDM User Scope)
• Generate the ppkg by using DEM account

To connect your room :

Create a room account (pure cloud is better)

Assign to it either MTR Basic or Pro license

Configure your MTR (wizard or XML) with this account

Keep in mind if you are AAD Conditional Access based on device compliance status to apply the correct compliance policy to tour devicd enroll in MDM Intune.
