Enrolling Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows devices with Microsoft Endpoint Manager

Hello ToddMethven, when the MTR starts and runs through the OOBE, as a part of the default installation it is a device which is not joining any domain. Naming cannot be done at this point however, after the setup, the device can be re-named manually. You can apply a naming template during an automated enrollment and the supported way is to use a provisioning package. Should you choose to leverage a provisioning package to AAD join the MTR without a naming template, it will generate a generic name. Ultimately, you can set a name template to set the device name during automated enrollment or set the name manually after setup. We are exploring further possibilities to make this process more friendly, and we will update this post when we have more info to share. Stay tuned!
