As Alber , we already had the Company Portal (Legacy Store, Online) assigned to "All Users". It was not optimal, but we had to stick with it.
Now a great improvement seems to be available, thus we want to switch to the new MS Store integration, System context, and assign to "All devices" instead. Ultimately, to include in ESP for new deployments.
Seems straightforward, I'd say. Yet, it is not supported. So what transition scenario would you propose?
Re-assign the old app to uninstall for "All users", then assign the new system context one? How would we do that without service interruption (i.e. Company Portal remaining installed for those who already have it)? Nope.
a) I don't want to uninstall the very same binary on thousands of machines, just to re-download and install it again.
b) Not only do I receive an error on the new app in the Intune portal, also for the end-user, it throws a standard Intune app install failure notification on the systray.
Please, consider fixing this to allow for migration scenarios!
