I am experiencing a similar situation to bbloggs
We are also facing the same issue in our environment. We also deployed the old Company Portal (Online) to "All Devices". Recently, after changes done by MS, we have deployed new Company Portal using Microsoft Store (new) and deployed to device based Test groups, but seems it is failing on few devices stating "The application was not detected after installation completed successfully (0x87D1041C)" and "0x00000000". We have new Autopilot machines on the line that can't get the Company Portal anymore and it is beginning to cause issues for us. Management is beginning to ask questions I have no answers for.

have you deployed New Company Portal to device or user groups for AutoPilot devices?
