Beatriz from BindTuning10:12 AM
Exactly which events we were going to attend. We had all our scheduled. You know everything so lined up all the stuff that we were going to launch all the constant light up. Everything was so perfect, even personally right. So we had a vacation, scheduled stuff that was planned and all of a sudden your life is upside down. So Italy upside down, yeah, and you're suddenly going from having this this balanced life to working probably 16 hours a day.
A weekend's not being able kind of to distinguish you know. Mondays from Fridays we can from week. Um it's been quite crazy, yes and an.
Michael Gannotti10:13 AM
Sure.
Yep.
Beatriz from BindTuning10:13 AM
And heavy, you know, in terms of the tool that it takes personally, but also exciting, I think you know, I think these are. These are actually times where you got get the opportunity to have a different look at things. A different look at what's coming ahead. So rethinking a bit the business and and your.
Well.
Also some.
I think, but it's also about virginity.
Michael Gannotti10:37 AM
Yeah.
Beatriz from BindTuning10:37 AM
Also, I can also tell you that and another area that that were heavily investing in and dearly investing in is is Accessibility.
So we actually started this late last year.
And it was a big focus for us in the pre pandemic era um but we didn't stop so we continue this this work and I'm I'm personally very engaged and dedicated to to guaranteeing that there is true diversity in tech.
Michael Gannotti10:38 AM
Sure.
Beatriz from BindTuning10:38 AM
It it it may have started the years ago with thinking about the difference and and the the under representation of women but now that there is enough awareness around that that topic and by the way I can tell you that that actually started because I have 2 daughters and I really felt that the world was was not what I wanted for them you know and I have 2 geeks so one of my daughter is is.
Michael Gannotti10:38 AM
Wow.
Yep.
Beatriz from BindTuning10:39 AM
That goes back when they were little that that was not the world you know for 2 young girls that's that expected to get into Attack Attack business and be looked at equal but now I think that the world has changed a lot and so in that perspective I think that we're coming to whirlwind more diverse.
Michael Gannotti10:39 AM
Sure.
Beatriz from BindTuning10:39 AM
But then another concern arise with which is OK how do we also include people that have any sort of disability and I believe that that area is not addressed enough and software specially is is not prepared and most of the times isn't definitely not prepared to make sure that we're providing the same type of opportunities to these people.
Michael Gannotti10:39 AM
Yeah.
Beatriz from BindTuning10:39 AM
And there are more people will limitations and we think because when we think about disability probably we're thinking about a high level of disability but with lower levels of disability there tons and tons of people either it is because your colour blinded or it is because you have epilepsy I do I have absolute epilepsy so I can't go to a website and have all the blinking if yes.
Michael Gannotti10:40 AM
Flashing yeah.
Beatriz from BindTuning10:40 AM
So um I personally related I personally relate to this topic at the end to this these issues or you can break a hands and temporarily you are disabled from that hand an not able to control the mouse as you used to so there are all types of situation where software actually has to be prepared and.
Michael Gannotti10:40 AM
Yep.
Beatriz from BindTuning10:40 AM
Be prepared so that people can perform at their best and that's what we're trying to do with a tool that we would.
Michael Gannotti10:41 AM
Yep.
Beatriz from BindTuning10:41 AM
Um making available next month I've II'm honestly it's like my a hard project OK II'm really really excited about it I'm super proud about about the work that the team has been developing so I think it's going to be it's going to be really good and meaningful specially this is what's driving the team is that they are creating such a meaningful such a meaningful soul.
Yep.
Michael Gannotti10:41 AM
Yeah I mean I'm excited about that I know from a Microsoft perspective we have a big push internally around that an you're right there are so many areas that we often don't think of.
You know different folks and there's various levels of challenges that people have from an Accessibility standpoint so you know the more that can be looked at the better so I think that's awesome so I do have some you know as we look as folks are hearing some of this and they want to follow up they'd like to you know.
