frawil I've excluded the processes as described https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/troubleshoot/teams-administration/include-exclude-teams-from-antivirus-dlp#new-teams
The files, at least for me are under: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\MSTeams_24102.2223.2870.9480_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe which is hidden by default, you need elevated cmd to go to that location.
Indeed I'm using a GPO for the exclusions. Just process exclusion, no paths or anything.
As for KB5036909, I'm already on the next update from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/may-14-2024-kb5037782-os-build-20348-2461-e4109269-b248-49cc-84fb-c2d0e2c86b36. So I'm not sure. Could be worth a try.
I still have one issue though, which is Teams always saying a new version is available and displaying the update button to our users. While the latest version is already installed and auto update is disabled.
