Great article - just what I needed. Thanks! My migration went off without a hitch...until I got to your Final Notes section.
I referred to KB2846759 as you recommended to set DFSR to always automatically resume replication. That article says it's necessary to install Hotfix 2780453 on DCs running Server 2008 R2 BEFORE making the indicated registry edit. However, it looks like Hotfix 2780453 is no longer available from Microsoft.
I don't know if it has since been included in monthly roll-up updates. So I don't know whether it's safe for me to make the registry change on my lone Server 2008 R2 DC. (Honestly, it will probably be retired within the next month or so, as soon as I can safely migrate everything on it to other servers).
Any advice or insight on this?
