This is decades too old to be rejecting customers who have special software that was very costly and also have P/Cs and laptops that still use MS Windows versions of XP, 2000, ver 7, 8 and 11 as I do
I have several very high-priced software ($2,500 plus each) and hardware that was designed for older P/C and laptops that cannot be converted to the newest MS Windows and I have many P/Cs (around 20) and laptops running the mix of the older OSs on my private network and MS Windows as file servers and clients configured for connecting as a group to see each other and map directories on the servers
These connect via my LAN and/or WIFI
My 30-year-old business relies on all that software and devices plugging into these computers and neither the software nor devices were designed for newer MS Windows and in some cases those products are no longer being made or supported, so I must be able for all these MS OSs allow the client computers to see and map to each other when needed
All of the above has been functional since the 1990s and is too late or costly to throw all that away because Microsoft wants to limit functions for honest customers because of the few that take advantage of Microsoft's bugs allowing to break into computers
Microsoft has to allow and do what is needed, so client computers on a private LAN can continue to use the Group function MS Windows had in older OS versions which means all computers on my network see each other in a group and map to them as needed
