Additional Details : The Microsoft Connectivity Analyzer can only validate the certificate chain using the Root Certificate Update functionality from Windows Update. Your certificate may not be trusted on Windows if the "Update Root Certificates" feature isn't enabled.

even the test outlook connectivity is OK with same warning for SSL from root certificate
Testing MAPI over HTTP connectivity to server outlook.office365.com and RPC over HTTP are both OK.
ThunderBird works great with IMAP settings on both XP and W2K3. is by chance the Modern Auth supported by Thunderbird V52 ?
