My point re the use of something like the =ADDRESS() function should be capable of allowing the workbook to be setup so that each of the cell entries had the name of the image file set in an associated cell, with the location of the actual folder containing the files specified at a global , or worksheet level.
That allowing
'Department' versions of the workbook to be pointed to the user permitted parts of corporate data storage,
'Corporate' ones to appropriately restricted parts of corporate stores,
'Regression testing' being pointed to different locations,
'Development' being set to the developers local system,
'Beta testing' being within the development team storage.
So - for something like Microsoft, there could be
country level sets of id's - complying with data protection,
location level sets,
department sets
organisational heirarchy levels.
The sort of thing that could be used on a staff entrypoint front desk, or for corporate management meetings.
and for stores selling goods, - images of the goods to go with sales level & value reports.
