After updating to the above build, I too found my Excel had changed to a Monospaced font and the option mentioned above is not available:
However, I changed the default font and size under General, restarted Excel and like magic it's fixed:
This worked for me. Thanks. My formulas were suddenly looking awful - spaced out incorrectly. Came here to find a fix for this. Some "feature"! :) Organization just pushed version 2408 to us (Semi-Annual Enterprise channel).
Nope. The font still changes to monoscript when you enter a formula.
Did you change to a specific font...size, I found if you leave it as default (eg for me that was "Body Font") then it used monospacing, but if I set it to a specific Font and size (eg Calibri...10) then it switches to that for both the formula bar and named range address box.
The setting to toggle the monospaced formula bar came several updates after the monospaced formula bar itself. I'm on 2502 and I've had the checkbox for several months. Some people in this thread are on 2408 and don't have the checkbox. The checkbox probably appeared around 2409 or 2410. Some corporate channels may not yet be up to that version.
