I don't want to edit 1000s of legacy formulas to return them to their "aligned" state. (I do return to them to edit or augment; now it's a ramshackle mess.)
I want it to look aligned, as it was when I originally typed it. And concur with others that it takes too much space and is harder to read.
And, sadly, your snark about Shakespeare and poetry adds no value but suggests you share the same tops-down/product-out/take-it-or-leave-it mentality of the Microsoft horde and little imagination for the potential use cases of others.
Not sure if SergeiBaklan agrees with you on the former, the latter, or both. In any case, it would be most welcome if active contributors like you folks could jump in and echo advocacy for user choice, at minimum.
