First, the STOCKHISTORY function is greatly appreciated. However, numerous users have commented about the need for a true split AND dividend Adjusted Price. The prices in STOCKHISTORY are split adjusted, but not Dividend adjusted. Yahoo provides Raw and Adjusted data in their Historical Prices data streams (eg. https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/MSFT/history?period1=511056000&period2=1614211200&interval=1d&filter=history&frequency=1d&includeAdjustedClose=true ). With their fully adjusted price, one can then easily calculate Total Return by the ratios of Adjusted Price over a given time interval. The downside of this method is the tedium of browsing into Yahoo's website, setting the correct settings for the SYMBOL of interest, downloading a file, importing it into Excel, and then using lookups or other means to find what we need. Can we PLEASE get the following clear statement from Microsoft affirming the following, soon ? :
1) Raw Price and Fully Adjusted Price Data are recognized as useful and necessary for any serious user of STOCKHISTORY
2) Feature enhancement work will be scheduled with an anticipated availability date of MM/DD/YYYY
Thank you !
