Wow, so many problems with this release already. As I mentioned in my post yesterday, everything Microsoft releases now (for supposedly fully functional software) is actually in Beta test mode. Nothing is complete when you first start using it, even Windows 11. I see multiple Command screens / boxes pop up at every start-up of Windows 11. Users / clients should not be seeing these "behind the scenes" functions when simply starting their computer and Windows coming online. It seems this is another of those instances, with so many people commenting here saying they cannot use this new feature, as "=PY" is not working.
Then there are the real world user comments about having Python in Excel not making sense for its functionality, or the fact they would be sending their client's information basically to Microsoft and the world, as it would be open to hacking or ransomware. And having to pay for this on top of already paying for the use of Excel makes no sense either.
And surprise, surprise, someone who seems to be at least affiliated with Microsoft that is on this forum has let us know of a bug they just found that does NOT let you have access to Python even when completing all of the required steps. But be patient, they'll get around to that.
