Announcing Python in Excel: Combining the power of Python and the flexibility of Excel.
Interesting concept, if it worked for me.
Sadly, big fiasco despite having the right subscription, elected to be an Insider and selected the Beta channel. I updated my Microsoft and Office 365 (using File > Account in Excel) and then selected the Python group in the Formula Tab of my ribbon. So far, so good, except: (a) Impossible to trigger Python with =PY or by using the Insert Python button in Formulas; (b) The Diagnostics icon in my Python Tab is greyed-out. So, bad start for Microsoft and Python.
Now, I'm already thinking about installing Python, and using Pandas or OpenPyXL, because things should work from the get-go or instructions should be better.
Thoughts about how to make Python in Excel work are welcome. Thanks in anticipation!
