I agree - this will be nice to have but [as I understand the logic of both formulas world] pivoting si thinking about [data] tables with metadata - on both sides.
Current set of new formulas is about arrays - pure arrays, without any metadata.
Yes - I can do this kind of with some Let formula - and translate it to soma kind of universal Lambda but this is not native way
I guess - Excel team will create some kind of Table oriented formulas too to help this kind of thing. Might in next stage... Excel team never stop to surprice
Currently we have very nice TABLE-oriented tool - PowerQuery allowing that kind of functionality
As I noticed in one previous post - Live queries on big (and external) tables might decrease performance rapidly
I have create some very usefull and funcy solution using LIVE formulas (as arrays) but plan to convert to Powerquery just becouse performance.
