Interim guidance for British Columbia time zone changes 2026
Do we know exactly the date when other versions of windows will get the update? When will this update be released? I am assuming this includes servers.
Due to our scheduling setup, the servers are set to receive the update on November, but the computers will receive it on September. This means we will have to request that update on the server to be installed out of order - before the Nov 1st DTS change takes place.

Updated the blog with scheduled dates for Windows monthly updates. Remaining versions of Windows, including windows server versions will receive the update as part of October 2026 monthly quality update, scheduled for October 13, 2026.

Hi Naveen,
Could you also clarify how this change will be handled by Exchange Online and Outlook?
At the moment, I don't see the new (UTC-07:00) Pacific Time (British Columbia) / British Columbia Standard Time option in Outlook on the web, New Outlook, or Classic Outlook.
I've also tested Windows with the September 2026 preview update applied.
Will Exchange Online receive a separate service-side update to recognize the new BC time-zone definition?
If so, is there a planned rollout timeline, and will BC Time become a valid value for Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration -TimeZone before November 1?Thanks!

Classic Outlook should have it when the client's Windows is patched.
OWA and New Outlook should have it in about a week.
