“You never get a second chance to make a first impression”
Well, the first impression is terrible. So many issues and so cumbersome in scripting. Here is a list of the issues I have found:
- Applications, extensions and more that uses Azure CLI authentication behind (e.g. the Bicep for Visual Studio) stops working or hangs since the window is hidden/not shown.
- No SSO anymore, whenever I have to log in I will get the WAM where I am forced through login steps no matter if I have signed in earlier with that account
- With web browser it SSOed, reducing the need of authenticating all the time.
- The "Use one of these accounts" still forces me to enter username/password
- WHY do we need to state if we want to use Microsoft account vs Work or school account in 2024?! (We still get that one one more time later on anyway as well, so I have to state this TWICE)
- The subscription selection is stopping existing scripts
- Lots of random errors around authenticating, both with use-device-code and with interactive login which are impossible to reproduce so it is impossible report them.
Please give us an option to get the web based experience again, it is much simpler and has much better SSO flow.
