Very interesting read.  Can you all share who the architects was on this use case?  Just in case we are trying to create something similar with other customers and have questions, it may be helpful to reach out. Specifically i'm curious as the sharding requirements and why it was necessary when we have read-only replicas and the ability to scale out on demand?
