Improve your SQL Managed Instance performance with new TempDB configurations

I've shown 12 data files as it was the fixed number of TempDB data files before we've introduced the TempDB configurability. That is still the default configuration upon a creation of any new Azure SQL managed instance.

The optimal number of files depends on your workload i.e., for some workloads, 8 TempDB files might be optimal; other workloads might need more than 8 TempDB files.

Luckily, now you can try out different configurations and choose the one that works best for your workload.
