Creating private DNS zone for each SQL MI is not a good solution, if there is a connectivity requirements from On-prem servers it would require to setup DNS forwarder each time a new SQL MI is created, we hoped that this process can be improved and seamless like other resources (event hubs, azure SQL, storage accounts, etc)
