Generally Available: Cosmos DB to Azure Data Explorer Synapse Link

I am excited to announce the Cosmos DB to Azure Data Explorer Synapse Link is now generally available (GA)!

Azure Data Explorer now has four (4) managed data connection:  Event Grid, Event Hub, IoT Hub & Cosmos DB.

This new data connection allows you to bring your Cosmos DB (SQL API) collection's data in Azure Data Explorer in real time.  This enables you to run analytic queries at Kusto-speed over your Cosmos DB data (see 5 reasons to use Cosmos DB to Azure Data Explorer integration).

We announce the Public Preview of this feature in January this year.  In March we enabled private endpoint support.  Since the beginning the connection has proven extremely stable and this is why we are going to GA this week!

We have seen a multitude of customers using it to run cross-partition aggregations over their Cosmos DB data, keep an audit trail of the document changes and join their Cosmos DB data with other Azure Data Explorer data at blazing speed.

GA is not the end of the road for this managed data connection!  In the near future we plan to integrate the data connection into Microsoft Fabric Real-Time Analytics which is where Azure Data Explorer magic is delivered in Fabric to delivered the same analytics insight on our new SaaS platform.  We also plan to have it part of our ingestion wizard to allow you to create the managed data connection faster with its Kusto table & data mapping.
