Hello Folks. Wanted to send out a quick note on an emerging issue we are seeing in Support after installing MS15-010 . If your fonts/text are distorted on the following Operating Systems…
…then you can download/install the following fix:
Fix for text quality degradation after security update 3013455 (MS15-010) is installed
Please see this link for more information.
Additionally, this fix will be including in March’s patch cycle.
UPDATE 2/26/2015
WSUS update for deployment will not be available until March 10th, the next patch Tuesday.
An alternative to deploying 3037639 is to use Configuration Manager - See article below:

The below security update is now available to correct the text issues found after installing KB3013455:

- Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 (SP2)
- Windows Server 2003 SP2
- Windows Vista SP2
…then you can download/install the following fix:

Thanks for this blog! 🙂 I had the same issue, which I first noticed in Firefox, on Google search result pages. And indeed in Notepad++. But with your instruction, the problem is solved. I could have waited for a patch patch by MS, but seemingly that is not so easy to make. The problem-causing patch is a week old already. I’ll keep track of this blog for further developments. Thanks again.
