As a user with highly intermittent loads, we also need high reliability.

One of the keys holding us back is consistent end-to-end multi-region / multi-zone support.

 

Flex plan support for availability zones will be greatly appreciated when it's ready, but until there's multi-region / multi-zone support for things like Cosmos serverless, we're stuck needing to limit how much we temporarily scale functions out based on staying within the provisioned autoscale windows of our Cosmos instances.

 

The 40 instance minimum for max instances on Flex leaves us having to stick with an app service plan for things that need to be throttled to stay within RU limits for Cosmos.
