We are happy to announce that we have made significant improvements in the performance of the WP Admin. Try out the WordPress site deploying from here. Create WordPress on App Service - Microsoft Azure
Although WordPress is an excellent content management system (CMS), it isn’t without its issues. Sometimes its admin panel can be laggy, preventing you from easily managing your website. We have always made sure that WordPress on Azure App Service meets the performance requirements of our customers. However, we got to learn from customer feedback that we could do better for the admin persona. So, we have enhanced the offering with accelerated performance for admin pages.
If you have created the website before 1 March 2023, please follow the steps described in blog post here: How to improve performance of WP Admin - WordPress on Azure App Service - Microsoft Community Hub to improve your WP Admin & overall site performance.
We created a test website in the Standard Hosting Plan to test the performance of WP Admin. We installed and activated 57 plugins, installed 90 themes, created 100 posts and added 300 comments. Then we benchmarked the performance of our website with accelerated WP Admin feature against the same website without the accelerated WP Admin feature. Here are the results:
