20 TopicsSidebar apps saving not intuitive
I've just discovered browsing on the internet that it is possible to save the list of apps opened on the sidebar. I've been missing such feature for over a month. I must say the current way of making sure an app is saved is not intuitive at all. I never realized there was a tiny little horizontal bar until I read about it on the internet. There should be a button to save a given app in the sidebar, so the user can find out this feature, otherwise he/she could end up never discovering it is actually possible to save sidebar apps.40Views0likes2Commentshow Edge sidebar apps work?

I just updated to EdgeVersion 120.0.2210.61and on my detached sidebar I noticed the Copilot logo has reappeared. I went into settings to shut it back off, and found it was shut off. I have a very specific list of apps that fill the whole side bar and do not need a novelty chatbot crowding it and making it so I have to scroll down. How can I remove the Copilot from thedetached sidebar? If I reattach it, it is not there, but the sidebar is then shorterand also forces me to reload when I use the same site in a different edge window.824Views0likes0CommentsBing ChatGPT interface issue: Chat window opening in sidebar instead of full screen mode
Hello friends, Till yesterday if I was clicking on Bing chat logo it was taking me to a full screen chat i.e., in a new tab, but today it is just opening in the right side of browser (at sidebaras seen in screenshot). And I feel that it is not proper space for conversation/chat, I want to chat in full screen mode instead of this sidebar so please help me and provide any solution to me so that I can run Bing ChatGPTin full screen mode (in a separatetab). I find the new sidebar mobile sites feature very useful. I am a Windows 11 user, so I could previously always just use Windows 11 snap layouts to drag one site to the left and one to the right. But with sidebar mobile sites, as seen in the image, the two sites are now a "locked pair" that can be moved around and resized independently. I also like the Edge "apps" feature that opens a site in a dedicated window. It helps me organize my window layout better and sometimes helps me keep focus better. However, it appears that the sidebar cannot be activated in Edge apps. I can hit Ctrl + Shift + E to open sidebar search, but I can't activate any of the other sidebar apps.470Views0likes0CommentsIt's not possible to use the sidebar shortcut on Nordic keyboards
The shortcut for the sidebar is Ctrl+Shift+/ which prevents it from being able to be utilized at all on Nordic keyboards (and likely others), since slash requires you to press Shift+7. Unfortunately, as far as I know, there's no way to rebind hotkeys in Edge. I tried rebinding the shortcut using AutoHotkey, but not even that seems to work. Although let's be honest, you shouldn't need a workaround for basic shortcuts in a browser. Please add an alternative shortcut. Ctrl+Shift+. works, period is right next to comma which is used for the vertical tabs shortcut so it would make a lot of sense.504Views0likes0CommentsPlease Add Option In Settings To Hide Sidebar Automatically
Hi, At least in my humble opinion it would be great to have the option available to be able to hide the sidebar automatically instead of only having the current two options that are available, to hide or display. I haven't checked yet in the 'experimental flags' area to see if an flag for doing this might in fact be available, but by having the sidebar showing it takes up valuable viewing area when I'm trying to view a webpage. Thanks, David1.7KViews0likes4CommentsPush notification for Messenger on the right sidebar.
Hey there! Recently, I switched from Chrome to Edge, and it's been great so far! Love using the vertical tabs, as well as the sidebar on the right for apps and sites. The one thing that keeps me from enjoying it fully is the lack of push notifications on the sidebar, especially for Messenger. Spotify has one when music is played, but not Messenger when I receive a message. Is there any way to turn this function on, and if there's not, are there any plans to bring it to the sidebar? Thanks in advance!906Views0likes0Comments
