Dear Guys, I installed Windows Server 2022 and added the RDSH role. I changed the RDSH license server to be "localhost" and then I noticed as per enclosed screenshot that the License Server Configuration Details in the licensing diagnoser shows that the windows version is 2019! So, Is it a typo problem or there is something else wrong ?! Please advise!1.8KViews0likes3CommentsLoadbalancer on top of the RDS User CAL Licesning Server
Hi, Because of our network architecture, connecting to the RDS License server from all other networks (200+) is currently not possible without creating a IPSec tunnel from each and every network to the network where RDS Licensing server is located. Alternatively, there are few common networks in place which act as a hub for 10s of networks and so we created a network loadbalancer with backend being the RDS Licensing server and try to use that loadbalancer IP as the licensing server in RDSH servers. But this does not seems to be working when we checked the RD licensing diagnoser. So, my question is does RDS Licensing server supports loadbalancer? If supports is there any document or solution available?559Views0likes0CommentsRDWEB WebClient HTML5 File Upload (no "Remote Desktop Virtual Drive")
Hello, I'm using MS RDS with only WebClient HTML5 (Windows 2016 Farm) I'm testing the latest package (1.0.27.0) and trying the file upload fonctionnality I've the file upload icon on top of the WebClient, I can upload file successfully but I the "Remote Desktop Virtual Drive" which is supposed to get mapped never shows up. The drive redirection is enable at the Collection Level. The "DeploymentRDPSettings" on the broker is : redirectclipboard:i:1 redirectprinters:i:1 redirectcomports:i:0 redirectsmartcards:i:1 devicestoredirect:s:* drivestoredirect:s:* redirectdrives:i:1 session bpp:i:32 prompt for credentials on client:i:1 server port:i:3389 allow font smoothing:i:1 promptcredentialonce:i:1 gatewayusagemethod:i:1 gatewaycredentialssource:i:0 use multimon:i:1 full address:s:brokerpartner.jcdpartner.org gatewayprofileusagemethod:i:1 gatewayhostname:s:rdgpartner.jcdecaux.com videoplaybackmode:i:1 audiocapturemode:i:1 So the devicestoredirect is well configured No GPO is blocking the drive redirection. Every documentation I find about this functionnality is always related to AzureVirtual Desktop and not OnPrem RDS infra. Is it supposed to work? I'm attempting to configure a remote desktop deployment with all the works. Due to network restrictions, port 443 is not available I need to use a non-standard port. In this case, I chose port 444. This does work while using the remote desktop client and manually entering the port. But under the Edit deployment option, I can not enter a port. And I receive a cert error while trying to connect due to the default port being used by a different service. Is it possible to fix this configuration? I have used a similar config on server 2008 R2 and it lets me configure the non-standard port for the RD gateway under the RemoteApp config.
Server Manager Dashboard'un orta kısmının da bulunan Add roles and features menüsüne tıklıyoruz. Açılan "Add Roles and Features Wizard" penceresinde ilk adım olarak "Before you begin" karşılıyor. "Next" butonuna basarak role kurulumu için ön yapılandırmalarımıza başllıyoruz. "Installation Type" bölümünde "Roles-Based 0r feature-based installation" seçiyoruz ve "Next" butonuna basıyoruz. "Next" butonuna basarak devam ediyoruz. Confirmation bölümünde seçtiğim RDSH ve RDL rol ve servislerini görüntülüyoruz. "Install" butonuna basınız. Install sırasında sistem yeninden başlayacaktır. Oturum açınca kurulum devam edecektir. RDSH ve RDL rol ve servis kurulumlarımız tamamlanmıştır.3.2KViews2likes0CommentsWindows thinclient running browser locally and Remoteapp from Windows RDS
Hey guys, I've a common problem across all my RDS/Citrix deployments when running a full desktop session as web browsing inside the session consumes a lot of resources plus has latency. I want to try Remoteapp for RDS first so I can use a Windows based thinclient or a regular computer converted to thinclient that will have IE/Chrome installed locally to run web browsing saving CPU/memory usage on RDS/Citrix server and deploy all applications like MS Office and other LOB applications as Remoteapps. I've not done this in production yet, but I've been testing in a POC at the moment and it works fine, especially with single sign-on, the person logs into the windows thinclient and there is no password prompts anymore. Have you guys tried something similar? Any thoughts, opinions, criticism, flaws that you could share so I can come up with something better? I'm planning to write an article how to do this in detail later on as I believe there is nothing out on the internet with the same goal as me.1.3KViews0likes0Comments
