Inbound Screening & PCI-DSS
PCI-DSS frowns on having credit card numbers and related information in systems not otherwise in scope. Yet we sometimes have law enforcement asking for us for researching by these very terms; they send these sometimes via E-mail. I wonder therefore whether Exchange can screen using DLP policies, with the intent of adding controls, such as masking or adding "no forwarding, no printing," and so on. Possible? Advisable?
PCI Express Linked Power State: turned off when connected to cable?
The other day I drained the battery on my Surface Book. When I connected it to the power cable I noticed the performance remained sluggish. I was unable to play games completely and even opening the start menu showed signs of hickups. In the taskbar power settings I enabled performance mode when connected but it did not fix the isue. So I looked around a bit and stumbled upon the PCI Express Linked Power State, an option in the advanced section of the OG control panel. When I turned this off the performance returned. But now my battery drains even when my PC is turned off. So I am not sure if this is the best setting the tweak. Does anybody have any experience with this?
