Hey, I have a customer who is needing to prevent the upload/sharing of Highly Confidential labelled documents to any Microsoft cloud services. They have successfully set up Endpoint DLP and MCAS to do just this for desktop applications like Edge, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive client, but have not found a way to prevent files from being saved to OneDrive/SharePoint via the File menu in apps like Word or Excel. Endpoint DLP has the option to block file upload to certain domains e.g. sharepoint.com, but this feature appears to only work in the browser and not within Office applications. I am aware there is GPO to block OneDrive/SharePoint as a location in Office apps but this would then remove the functionality for all files, not just those labelled Highly Confidential. Is there something else that I could configure that could prevent local files from being saved to OD/SP based on label applied? We are looking for ways to do the following: - we want to prevent a user or guest who accesses tenant data (through browser or Office apps) from an unmanaged device to copy and paste data outside allowed apps. This should be done on Windows 10 and higher. So basically it is allowed to copy and paste from Teams to Word (with same identity) but not to notepad or Wordpad for example. We have been testing with access and session policies that should prevent pasting data outside allowed apps but that does not block pasting to notepad. Does anyone have a solution for this very challenging requirement?MCAS - Outdated Browser and Outdated Operating System does anyone know the details for this?
I would like to be able to supply the customer with the current information or a link to the information of what is listed as Outdated Browser and Outdated Operating System so they are aware for support and on-boarding purposes. I've seem a similar post: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-cloud-app-security/outdated-browser-and-operating-system-user-agent-tags/m-p/906620 which asks the same question but it isn't answered there and I am unable to find this information.New study shows customers save time, resources and improve security with MCAS!

Hi guys, I have a business case where we want to use MCAS to block copy/paste to pages and documents on one SharePoint site. the members are being monitored using a session policy. The block copy/paste and printing works pretty good when you want to limit it using a code snippet. The downside is, that the session monitoring does this for the entire SharePoint environment. Is there a way to limit this to a single site or block copy/paste for SharePoint documents and pages on a single site? kind Regards8.4KViews0likes4CommentsFile or Access policy to restrict file downloads
Hello, We have multiple web applications that are built to be accessible outside of our corporate network. Some of the important features are to be able to generate PDFs and print. Is there a way to setup file or access policies that will restrict file downloads and temporary files to be only saved to corporate OneDrive or SharePoint? This is possible on Office Web Applications and Intune using MAM. Can this be done for Custom applications using MCAS?5.1KViews0likes5Comments
