Dear Community, I hope you are all doing great. We are an Indirect Provider in CSP and following the GA of M365 Copilot as an add-on in the M365 family of products, we need to understand how this product is going to be incentivised. Will M365 Copilot be part of the "Core - Modern Work & Security billed Revenue" type of incentives, gaining the allocated 4,75% as announced for Ind. Providers throughout FY24? Much appreciated in advanced for your significant input. Best regards, NickSolved3KViews1like3CommentsLegacy competencies when Silver Partner
Dear team, If a partner currently has Silver Partner Status and wants to renew his Silver for another year, how is he able to choose between the different legacy competencies like Cloud Business Applications, Cloud Platform, Cloud Productivity, Data Analytics, Data Platform, Enterprise Mobility Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions, Windows and Devices. The reseller is unable to see this. Where can he find it in MS Partner Center? This is an Incentives related question. Some of the Pre-Sales engagement customer eligibility require an "MSX Opportunity ID". I've seen various instructions to contact either a "PDM" or "Your Microsoft sales or partner point person" for this, but we don't have such individuals in our list of contacts. How does this work? Is it possible to reach one through the standard support portal? Or are these activities simply not accessible to partners who don't have any of the above?1.8KViews0likes1CommentECIF Funding Milestone Date Changes
Hi there - We're working on an ECIF funded project and due to approval date being pushed back we were unable to start the project until a few days before the first milestone completion date. Our team was hoping to extend the date of the first milestone but we received feedback that we may lose the funding if the date is extended. Looking at the ECIF process documentation, it seems like if all milestones listed are completed in the same quarter then the changes are documented and approved by Microsoft, then an amendment isn't required. All approved milestone completion dates are in Q3 and if the milestone dates are extended the project will be still be completed in Q3. How do milestone extensions on approved ECIF scopes work within the same quarter (and in general) and will we lose funding if we request an extension?1.5KViews0likes5CommentsFunding by MS for Business Application D365 - Eligibility
Hi community, an interesting outcome from a support ticket - details as below. I personally think this is not very smart by Microsoft because I think they should support partners who are cross-selling and expanding an existing customer account. Feel free to comment Ralf ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ As a partner you can get funding only once eg for running an Envisioning Workshop for the same customer. Scenario: Our customer is interested in D365 Sales and in D365 Finance & SCM. Customer wants to roll out these applications in phases, let’s say D365 Sales in 2024 and D365 Finance & SCM in 2025. For both rollouts they want to start FIRST with an Envisioning Workshop and expect the workshops will be funded by Microsoft. Question: We start with phase 1 in 2024 by running an Envisioning Workshop for D365 Sales, which is funded by Microsoft. We continue with phase 2 in 2025 by running (again) an Envisioning workshop but now for D365 Finance & SCM. Will this (second) Envisioning Workshop be funded by Microsoft? Answer: No, only the first ENV WS will be funded (in 2024 for D365 Sales). We are not eligible for a funded ENV WS for D365 Finance & SCM in 2025.1.2KViews0likes7CommentsSilver Partner Status in MS Partner Center
Dear team, We have an indirect reseller who is still eligible to become Silver Partner in MS Partner Center. Is this the Silver Partner Status that gives him both benefits and incentives? I thought MS has deprecated Silver Partner after September 30th, 2023, so I am a bit confused why he can renew his Silver Status for one more year. Therefore, I wonder, if he will receive Benefits and Incentives as well? Br, Nis1KViews0likes2CommentsRecognition if customer migrates from on prem to Cloud
Hi community, We are wondering if the scenario below will have a positive impact on our deployment data (D365 Business Application membership status >> Customer Success >> Deployment). Appreciate your thoughts on this. Ralf Scenario Customer is using Dynamics CRM on premise. We have successfully completed a migration from on prem to Cloud (D365). We intend to log CPOR-OSU to get recognition for MAU growth. Question Would we additionally see the customer listed under deployment data as well? OR not because we already did a deployment on prem, and a migration will not meet the "deployment" eligibility criteria.? Assume that we are meeting other requirements such as min MCV, workload etc.Solved976Views0likes7CommentsLegacy Gold into Solutions Partner designation license benefits experience
Hello guys, Please anyone have an experience with the below situation regarding switching Legacy Gold into Solutions Partner designation license benefits ? We had a Legacy Gold Solution license benefits purchased on 5th December 2023 so was counting that the renewal period will be 365+30days = 5th January 2025, however they’ve switched off our E3 licenses somehow already on 6th December 2024 and actually admitted that if we’ve asked for the extension earlier than they would be extended successfully and that it was our responsibility to notice them earlier………that’s something I don’t agree but ok so we’ve started to solving our situation, which was earning the Solution Partner designation and to switch from Gold Legacy into Solution designation - but the next planned data refresh for CPORs was 20th December and we’ve been encouraged by the MS service team (I’ve created 2 tickets via Partner Center) to buy and extend the Gold Legacy package as we have no other chance in the time manner till 20th December and most likely based on the actual (October’s) results we’ll not earn it…..so we bought Legacy Gold license package….. But guess what…..1 day later some unplanned data refresh happened on Partner Center and we’ve obtained the Solution Partner designation badge, but option for purchasing Solution Partner designation was not available anymore as we’ve bought day before the Legacy Gold package……….. I was escalating that immediately that we would like to switch from Gold into Solution benefits based on the situation and consequences above, but after almost 2weeks of discussion literally nobody was able to ask for any exception and got answer that escalation team declined that request without any further details. Anybody please have any recommendation what to do or any best practice which could help us ? Based on the benefits what the Solution Partner designation package is bringing this year it’s crucial for us. Thank you in advance, cheers. MartinSolved846Views1like7Comments
