confirmation email
7 TopicsBookings information not populating on bookee's confirmation email
Our form for scheduling employee onboarding has questions asking the manager/booker for the joining person's name. When a manager/booker submits a booking request to us/bookee, the booker receives confirmation of this information they put in under "Your Details", but we/bookee (the one who needs this information) do not see this information at all (neither subject or email body content). There seems to be no way to customize the confirmation email that we/bookee get, and the "additional information' section is what we fill out beforehand. How can we get this information the booker provided? (Is this case, 1 person named "Test person") Is there a way to update/customize the subject line or body of the confirmation email to include this, rather than just "New booking: for HR Onboarding Meeting (booking name we set)"? Hi, as I couldn't find my question anywhere here, let me ask my first question here: I'd like to add the email address from the customer in the confirmation email send from Bookings to the inbox (outlook) to a staff member (with whom the call is now booked with). Unfortunately, I can't add screenshots. It looks like the system on default picks only name to then display it in the staff member addressed inbox like this: new booking from NAME ... (here the provided email address from the customer to be displayed would be appreciated) (blank line) service title ... with staff member name I hope I'm clear here, please feel free to ask more questions - I'm happy to clarify. It would be great to add this. Thanks! BR, Kristina478Views0likes0CommentsIs there a way to have customers who book pay right away?
I've run into some problems using 365 Booking: 1. I need to figure out a way to have people pay right away after they book with us. 2. I need people to receive a confirmation email after they book, but how can I customize the confirmation email so it confirms the number of people and the program they chose? 3. The next problem I've run into is that if anyone needs to change their booking for any reason (like adding people to the reservation) I need them to be sent a prompt to start a new booking. If anyone can help, any information on how to do these would be so helpful!544Views0likes0CommentsUpdates in the confirmation emails
A few of our customers have noted this week that the confirmation emails that are sent when a booking is made have been updated. One new change is that the details from the "custom fields" have finally been added to the confirmation email which is a feature that would be really useful for our customers. The problem is that this feature doesn't seem to work as expected. Our customers are receiving emails with the first options from each of the drop-down boxes instead of the options that they selected when making a booking. This leads to confusion for the customer about what exactly they have booked. This is obviously not a good user experience and since I can't find any documentation about this change I presume it is still in some kind of testing phase. This problem doesn't affect the actual booking information which the customer still has access to if they push the button to rebook their appointment. But this has never been a very intuitive way for them to confirm these details which is why having it in the emails would be a great improvement to the program and the overall booking experience. Testing the booking service from a user point-of-view confirmed this bug earlier today but the problem doesn't seem to be consistent and after testing a few different scenarios the section with the "Custom Fields" (which is called "Your details") has disappeared again from the confirmation emails. This new section was notably in English whereas the rest of the confirmation email was in the language chosen for the booking page in the settings - if that helps to debug this problem? (As there have been problems caused by the language settings previously) I figured that my only solution at the moment was to add a note using the "Additional information for email confirmation" section to tell our customers that this is a bug and that it doesn't affect their booking. We have used Microsoft Bookings to deal with nearly 2000 bookings in just 8 months and it has completely changed the way we organise things. But changes within Microsoft Bookings like this without any documentation to say what has changed and when it changed can cause critical problems for the users of this program. Is there somewhere that the users of Microsoft Bookings can see a log of the changes being made so that we can know if a change is going to critically affect the way we are using this program? This isn't the first time this has happened either. For example the format for the confirmation emails seemed to completely change sometime in January 2022 without any documentation about this either and although the change was for the better it also meant that the instructions we were giving to our customers was completely wrong! We are reliant on using Microsoft Bookings for the service that we provide and having the custom fields in the email confirmations would really be helpful for our customers, many of whom make multiple bookings with different answers for the "custom fields" so it would help them to keep track of their own bookings so we're eager to have this update and I'm sure many others are in a similar position. But if a new feature is being rolled out that still has bugs in it then I think that maybe we should have the the option to opt out - at least until the problems are fixed.3.2KViews1like1CommentConfirmation emails not coming through...
Confirmation emails are only being received by work email addresses and not personal email addresses. These are the confirmation emails for customers who are booking appointments. We are receiving the confirmations to the email address that the ''business'' is set up with on MS Bookings. is this us or you?4.1KViews1like3CommentsClient does not receive booking confirmation
I am new to office 365, and I am trying out the bookings for booking meetings with clients. My problem: When a client (no microsoft user) enters the booking page, and makes a booking, he does not receive a confirmation in his mailbox. So he has no clue on whether the meeting in succesfully booked, and he can not reschedule when necessary. How can I change this? When an email confirmation gets sent out to the customer. It doesn't show which staff they have been assigned to. It used to show previously but now its gone. As you see from the screenshot it just says City Campus Study Space it doesn't say City Campus Study Space with <staff name>.But for some reason if you cancel the appoint it will show up with the name of the staff assigned to the booking. I can't find any settings where i can turn this off/on. Also i can now confirm that some customers are getting the email confirmation with staff assigned and some aren't Is this a possible bug issue? Would anyone have an idea why this is happening? Any help would be much appreciated Thanks !2.7KViews0likes1Comment
